Vera Kamtukule, the Minister of Tourism in President Chakwera’s administration, has expressed gratitude to the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) The Jesus Nation Church for its laudable initiatives in advancing spiritual tourism in the country. These accolades were bestowed during Kamtukule’s oration in Kanengo, Lilongwe, on a Sunday marked by the ECG crossover service, themed the “Night of Wealth Transfer.”

Articulating the strategic significance of tourism as a linchpin in the economic landscape, Kamtukule advocated for the church’s active involvement in fostering this sector. She further said that the achievements of the church resonate as a living manifestation of the ministry’s ethos, encapsulating the notion that Malawi indeed represents the warm heart of Africa.

Expounding on the profound impact of the “Night of Wealth Transfer” on the economic tapestry of Malawi, Kamtukule implored ECG to persist in orchestrating such events, underlining the potential for hosting international conferences tailored for women and the youth.

Adding a harmonious dimension to the occasion, the minister lent her melodic voice to the congregation, engaging in a performance alongside ECG’s distinguished songstress, Swazi Dlamini.

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri expressed gratitude to Kamtukule for acknowledging ECG’s pivotal contribution to the economic milieu, extending appreciation to all attendees for gracing the momentous crossover event. In his sermon, centered around the essence of wealth transfer, Bushiri conveyed the assurance that divine providence would unlock doors for those who tread the path of truth, facilitating the church’s mission of aiding the less privileged, aligning with the prophetic words of Jesus Christ that resonate, “you are the light of the world.”

The crossover, a veritable congregation of almost 30,000 fervent participants, drew myriad visitors from diverse corners of the globe, including South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Angola, Lesotho, Australia, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada.
