Ole Gunnar Solskjear sacked

Manchester United have sacked head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjear following the club’s recent decimal performance in the English Premier League.

In official statement released by the club, Solskjear has been replaced by Micheal Carrick on temporary basis  while the club is seeking an interim manager to the end of the season.

“It is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision to part ways with Solskjear. While the past weeks have been disappointing, we should not obsecure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundation for long term success.

“Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as a manager; our very best wishes for his future,” Leads the statement.

The club’s recent poor performance includes Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Watford , a 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool on 24 October and 2-0 defeat by city rivals Manchester City on 6 November.

United will travel to Spaot to take on Villarreal on Tuesday in champions league before games against inform Chelsea and Arsenal.

Solskjear, 48, replaced Jose Mourinho as interim in 2018 before given a three year deal in March 2019.

In July this year he signed a new deal with the club until 2024.

United finished second in the premier league last may, 12 points behind Manchester city and lost the Europa league final to Villarreal on penalties.
