Bon Kalindo arrested for breaching bail conditions

Kalindo fired

Self-proclaimed political advocate Bon Kalindo has been arrested by the Police said his associate Redson Munlo. This arrest followed a court injunction obtained by the activists, which overturned a prohibition imposed by the District Commissioner (DC) that denied them authorization to stage demonstrations at the gates of State House in the Capital Lilongwe.

The police informed Kalindo that his arrest was due to his violation of bail conditions. Kalindo has had numerous encounters with law enforcement, and it is a breach of the conditions tied to his previous arrests that has led to this current apprehension.

Kalindo is pushing a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) agenda for Chakwera to resign, and he aimed to kickstart this endeavor through protests at the State House gate.
