Might Wanderers supporters on Tuesday stormed Humphrey Mvula’s residence at BCA in the commercial capital of Blantyre asking him to resign, within 24 hours, from the Club’s administration allegedly for being a confusionist.
Mvula, a renowned analyst of issues of national interest and business development consultant, is Mighty Wanderers [fondly called Nyerere] Secretary to the Board.
In their petition read at Mvula’s residence, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) offices at Chiwembe, and Super League of Malawi (SULOM) offices–all in Blantyre–supporters’ chairperson Dennis Chitsulo said they wanted Mvula out for, among others, trivializing Club business.
“Mvula summons club meetings at his own house which is wrong. It is also unfortunate that our players have not been paid their allowances for two months now under his watch,” Chitsulo said.
But in his reaction, Mvula said he found the calls for his resignation wanting as he was appointed by the Board.
“I can only resign through a vote of no confidence from the Board or when my mandate has expired,” Mvula said.
