President Lazarus Chakwera, who came to power with a promise to combat corruption in the country, has suspended the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Steven Kayuni over mysterious arrest of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma.
This has been announced in parliament by Minister of Justice Titus Mvalo.
Mvalo has also announced of the unconditional withdraw of charges levelled against the ACB boss.
A commission of inquiry composed of several individuals including former Inspector General of Police, Loti Dzonzi and others has since been instituted, according to Mvalo.
