TotalEnergies Malawi decorates outstanding students at MUBAS

TotalEnergies Malawi has on Friday awarded exceptional students pursuing various business, economic sciences and engineering courses at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).

Twenty-one students received K350 000 each and were encouraged to maintain their academics stints so that they effectively contribute to the country’s economy once they graduate.

TotalEnergies corporate affairs manager, Sekaninge Kaliati, said it was the company’s wish to promote the sciences hence their partnership with MUBAS.

“It is part of our corporate social responsibility, a culture we have lived for the past fifty-one years,” said Kaliati said.

One of the awarded students, Patience Mulele, said getting awarded was “a morale and confidence booster.”

According to MUBAS Dean of the School of Business and Economic Sciences, Kizito Kanyoma, the University is building a culture of excellence to bring out industry relevant human resource.
