The Maseko Ngoni mourn iNkosikazi Annie Muluzi

The Maseko Ngoni Heritage Trust has joined those that have paid their tributes to Former first lady Anne Muluzi.
In a statement released today and signed by its Chairperson, Senior Chief iNkosi Makwangwala and Secretary General, Impi Kandi Padambo, the cultural grouping has consoled Former President, Bakili Muluzi as well the iNkosi Masula royal family for the demise of late iNkosikazi Muluzi.
“We regret to announce the passing of iNkosikazi Her Excellency Madamme Anne Muluzi, former First Lady, and a senior member of the royal family of iNkosi Masula.
“The Maseko Ngoni Heritage Trust, on behalf of all Maseko Ngonis, extend deepest condolences to His Excellency Dr Bakili Muluzi, former President of the Republic of Malawi, Rt. Hon. Atupele Muluzi, President of the United Democractic Front, the entire Muluzi family, His Majesty, Ngwenyama iNkosi Ya Makhosi Gomani V and the iNkosikazinkulu, the iNdlovukazi, iNkosi Masula, and all Maseko Ngoni aMakhosi and aMakhosana on the loss of the late iNkosikazi, Her Excellency Madamme Anne Muluzi, former first lady, an illustrious member of the iNkosi Masula royal family and a towering inspiration to the entire Maseko Ngoni nation in Malawi and beyond,” reads the statement.
According to the Office of the President and Cabinet, the former first lady, late Muluzi died on Tuesday 28th December, 2021 at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya after a long battle with cancer.

Annie, a mother to UDF president Rt Hon Atupele Muluzi was the wife of former and first multiparty president of the republic of Malawi Bakili Muluzi before they divorced in 1999.
