Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda, the nation’s Attorney General, has not only worked tirelessly but has demonstrated exceptional legal acumen in representing the government across various high-stakes litigation cases. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has elevated Nyirenda to the rank of Senior Counsel, further solidifying his legal stature.
In an official appointment letter signed by Solicitor General and Secretary for Justice, Allison M’bang’ombe, it was stated, “His Excellency, the President, Dr. Lazarus Maccarthy Chakwera, on the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on the appointment of Senior Counsel, has conferred upon you the honour and rank of Senior Counsel.”
