BLANTYRE-Sorrow has engulfed the people of Traditional Authority Mpama in Chiradzulu following a brutal death of a 50-year- old woman who was killed for allegedly stealing three tomatoes.
Chiradzulu Police publicist Innocent Moses confirmed that the incident happened on Sunday at Mangani Village.
Moses identified the deceased as Maria Kamoto of Zalengera village while the three suspects are Misho Sogole,36, Ellen Mulamba, 32 and 42 year old Yohane Madeya, all from Mangani Village in Traditional Authority Mpama in Chiradzulu District.
Moses said the deceased allegedly went to Sogole’s garden to steal tomatoes for her home use.
While there, she was hit by a metal bar on the head and collapsed.
