High Commissioner Bisika

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has been honored with a plaque and certificate by the Africa Israel Partnership (AIP), a UK-registered organization, in acknowledgment of Malawi’s support for Israel. The award was received by Malawi’s UK High Commissioner, Dr. Thomas Bisika, who expressed gratitude for AIP’s gesture and pledged to deliver the award to the President personally. Bisika also praised AIP for its role in fostering investment and knowledge exchange between Africa and Israel.

Russell Conn, Chairman of AIP, stated that the award was given in recognition of Malawi’s solidarity during Israel’s challenging times. Presidential Press Secretary, Anthony Kasunda, conveyed President Chakwera’s appreciation for the accolade and reiterated his call for peace in Gaza and the establishment of safe aid corridors.

The ceremony was attended by AIP officials, including Vice Chairman Dr. Charles Leyman Kachitsa, Executive Secretary Dr. Oboh Achioyamen, and Advisor Ivan Lewis, a former UK Member of Parliament and State Minister.

Africa Israel Partnership, a non-political organization recognized by the United Nations, focuses on community development in Africa and Israel through collaborative efforts with partner institutions.
