Malawi Law Journal Returns After 12-Year Break

The Malawi Law Society (MLS) has revived its Law Journal, marking its return after a 12-year hiatus. Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda emphasized the significance of this publication, considering it a landmark achievement in the legal realm.

“The journal will go a long way in enlightening the masses on law issues, not only for the academia, professionals but citizens as well,” he said.

MLS president, Patrick Mpaka, reiterated the society’s commitment to conducting research on evolving legal issues.

“We are mandated to conduct research, and given the dynamic nature of law, the journal plays a critical role in its evolution,” said Mpaka.

The Law Journal, initially introduced in 2007, will now be produced twice annually, covering a wide range of topics of national interest.
