Echoing Mchacha, DPP if not recalibrated deserves natural but painful death

Mchacha

Dear Editor,

That the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was reckless and ruthless such that it does not need to be given an opportunity to be any closer to the reins of power in 2025 or in any foreseeable future should be understood by Malawians.

If you need further reasons as to why this is the case: Then Charles Mchacha press conference in Blantyre yesterday has the answer. The estranged regional governor Mchacha had to wonder why DPP had not done a post-mortem since it shamelessly lost power in 2020. According to Mchacha suggested reasons that made Malawians fire it. Was it because of bad blood it had with the Judiciary, the police, the army, or indeed the general citizenry?

In revealing reasons, Mchacha said, DPP needs to have a fresh team because according to him, it was not on for a Presidential bodyguard receiving about MK500,000 to be having 40 cars. This was in an apparent reference to Normal Paulos Chisale who it was said became a co-prime minister with Ben Phiri.

Peter Mutharika, whom some clique wants to bounce back as DPP presidential candidate in 2025, is being forced so to do because they want to continue plundering the meager resources of this country behind his back as he has been known to be a person who sleeps on the job.

These are some of the reasons that will make President Lazarus Chakwera of MCP to renew his state house mandate up to 2030. DPP deserves a natural but painful and slow death like an HIV/AIDS patient in the 1990s.
