What befell Malawi was very shocking such that countries near and far were concerned and came to the assistance of Malawi. The latest country to come to the aid of Malawi is Namibia whose cabinet has approved that the country donates U$100 000 (N$1.8 million) to Malawi for humanitarian assistance.
This donation was disclosed by ICT Minister Peya Mushelenga on Friday upon delivering decisions from the fourth cabinet meeting held this week. Mushelenga said the amount is for victims of tropical cyclone Freddy.
Earlier this year, Malawi experienced a devastating flood by cyclone Freddy with at least 190 people who were reported dead in March.
