The High Court in Lilongwe is poised to issue its ruling regarding Vice President Saulos Chilima’s request for additional disclosures in a case where he is alleged to have received funds to sway contract awards in favor of businessman Zunneth Sattar.
The ruling is anticipated to address a disagreement between Chilima’s legal representatives and the Malawi Defence Force (MDF).
The defense is advocating for further disclosure of evidence from the State, while the MDF is raising objections based on relevance and concerns pertaining to national security.
