Chief Justice Rizine Mzikamanda of Malawi on Wednesday introduced the e-Court program, a digital platform designed to connect prisons and police stations with courts.
This initiative aims to improve access to justice, particularly for marginalized communities in remote areas, especially survivors of gender-based violence.
The judiciary anticipates that this initiative will make justice more readily available to all Malawians while also cutting down on travel expenses for judiciary officials and respondents.
The implementation of the initiative is being financially supported by UNDP.
