Leader of Delegation Usi says COP28 to unlock new opportunities for Malawi

Minister of Natural Resources Michael Usi who is leader of Malawi delegation at the ongoing Conference of the Parties (COP 28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates  says Malawi’s participation at the conference will unlock new opportunities that will assist the country in speeding up recovery from recent disasters.

Usi said this on the sidelines of the conference, which officially commenced last week Thursday. The Minister said already Malawi has started to benefit from the conference and said more is to come. The COP 28 conference will run from 30 November to 12 December 2023.

Over 70,000 participants, including heads of state, government officials, international industry leaders, private sector representatives, academics, experts, and youth representatives are participating in the conference.
