Former Anti-Corruption Bureau Director Alexios Nampota has died. According to family sources, the former Director died suddenly at SDA Adventist Hospital in Blantyre.
The family source says vigil prayers are taking place at Nampota’s residence in Namiwawa Blantyrestarting from 6pm today. On Monday from 2pm, the remains of the late Nampota will be collected from Mthuzi to the Nampota’s residence in Namiwawa. On Tuesday 27th December 2022, the body will depart for Lucheza in Thyolo for funeral mass followed by Burial ceremony.
Nampota served as ACB boss during the late Bingu Wa Mutharika’s reign.
