Abida Mia, the Member of Parliament representing Chikwawa Nkombedzi, officially inaugurated a school block construction project valued at MWK38 Million yesterday. This project is taking place at Gombwa Primary School, situated within the Senior Traditional Authority Ngabu area of Chikwawa.
Addressing the gathering during the ceremony, Mia, who also holds the position of Minister of Water and Sanitation, stated that the construction of this new classroom block aims to alleviate the shortage of classrooms at the institution.
Meanwhile, Group Village Headman Nzangaya expressed gratitude for the lawmaker’s initiative, emphasizing that the new infrastructure will contribute to providing a secure and conducive learning environment for the students.
Gombwa Primary School, established in March 2021, currently enrolls a total of 580 students, with 317 of them being girls.
