Jiya

The Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Alfred Jiya on Friday took some time out of his busy schedule to engage with the people of his newly assigned constituency, Lilongwe City Centre Nankhaka.

During the meeting with 29 area chairmen and their fellow executives, Jiya emphasized the importance of building strong relationships and briefed them about the recent demarcation exercise that led to him being chosen by the local chiefs to represent the area in the upcoming general elections. He reassured them that he will continue to serve as their representative until the 2025 elections are conducted, despite the changes in constituency boundaries.

During the event, Lebiam Mbale praised Jiya for his timely approach and acknowledged the significant developments he has brought to Lilongwe City Centre. As a result, all five constituencies in the area wish for him to stand as their representative. Mbale encouraged the people in the newly constituted constituency to support Jiya in his role.
