Half Unima Students have no laptops as Move Secure Africa Steps In

It may seem surreal, but it’s a stark reality as disclosed by Dr. Jonas Mwatseteza, the Director of Students Affairs at the University of Malawi. Out of the 9026 registered students, half lack access to laptops, crucial tools for higher education.

This revelation came to light during a donation event by the Malawian IT company, Move Secure Africa, which provided laptops, routers, and headsets to some University of Malawi students.

Dr. Mwatseteza highlighted the challenges faced by these students in accessing electronic materials due to the absence or poor condition of gadgets. Move Secure Africa’s Managing Director, Patrick Masamba, expressed the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility by providing assistance in this regard.

Notably, the company had recently made a similar donation to the Soche Police Station in Blantyre.
