Goshen Farms Owner Shepherd Bushiri Advocates Government Backing for Agricultural Commercialization

Goshen Farms owner and humanitarian, Shepherd Bushiri, has urged for governmental assistance in the advancement of agricultural commercialization.

Speaking at Goshen Farms in Mchinji during a visit by Agriculture Minister Sam Kawale to observe the farm’s mechanization and irrigation efforts, Bushiri emphasized the necessity of government support in this crucial sector.

He said: “It is good that the Minister is here. We want to help develop the country’s agriculture sector but to do that, we will need to tap into the Ministry’s expertise and know-how.”

In a separate statement, Kawale affirmed that the government is committed to collaborating with commercial farmers such as Bushiri and other similarly driven individuals. They aim to delve into potential alterations in policies and regulations necessary to bolster initiatives aimed at revitalizing the agricultural sector.
