Political leaders within the nation are being encouraged to mirror the life of the late Muhammad Sidik Mia, renowned for his steadfast commitment to his duties and extraordinary benevolence.
Moses Kunkuyu, the Minister of Information and campaign director for the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), underscored these exemplary leadership qualities during the Sadaqa Memorial Prayers held in N’gabu, Chikwawa District.
“In commemorating the life of the late Sidik Mia today, we are also commemorating the profound lessons he imparted to us. Mia was a man whose life was dedicated to assisting those in need,” expressed Kunkuyu.
As part of the memorial proceedings, the Mia Family distributed maize to families grappling with hunger in Misewu folo and Jombo, both located in Chikwawa.
Muhammad Sidik Mia passed away on January 12, 2021, having held significant positions such as Minister of Transport and Public Works and Vice President of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) until his demise. Eminent figures present at the event included Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu and Minister of Local Government Richard Chimwendo Banda.
