Soap of Shame: DPP’s Homemade Soap Leaves Malawians Itching—Literally

Blantyre, Malawi — When politicians start mixing soap instead of policies, you know the country’s in trouble. It has now come to light that a homemade soap made by opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) members is causing skin infections in unsuspecting Malawians. What was meant to clean is now leaving people scratching like chickens in dry season dust.

Health experts have confirmed that the so-called “DPP Soap” is not certified by the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS). One dermatologist likened using uncertified products like this to “playing football barefoot on a pitch full of thorns.” You might survive, but you’ll carry scars.

In a twist that feels like irony served cold, one senior female DPP figure has already been spotted in a widely circulated picture with visible skin damage. Her upper chest and neck area show severe infection marks, as if even the soap’s creators were not spared from their own concoction.

The MBS says it is investigating how the opposition party found itself in the soap business without proper licensing. As one old Malawian proverb says: “If you can’t govern, don’t start selling soap.”

Authorities warn that many users may be at risk of skin diseases and urge the public to avoid products made outside approved procedures. Meanwhile, MBS has vowed to take action against those behind this soapy scandal.

Stay tuned for more as the story unfolds.
