Teuka Tembo and Bentry Nyondo, two law students from the University of Malawi, have successfully advanced to the final stages of the 15th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot competition, currently being held at the United Nations’ Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
Enoch Chilemba, a senior lecturer at the University of Malawi, revealed that Malawi is ranked among the top six universities in Africa and among the top 24 worldwide that have qualified for the final rounds of the competition.
Chilemba mentioned that the final rounds will conclude on Friday. Representing the University of Malawi, the team consists of students from the School of Law, Economics, and Government, specifically from the Department of Public Law and Clinical Legal Education.
