Prophet Samuel James of Path to Everlasting Life Church has been sentenced to 12 years for impregnating a 16-year-old girl.
A mobile court sitting at Lirangwe presided over by First Grade Magistrate George Chimombo found guilty and sentenced Prophet James to 12 years to send a message to would be offenders.
The court believes that after 12 years behind bars, the Prophet who is 28 years old, would come out and start life at 40 to become an Ambassador of Gender-Based Violence.
Prophet James impregnated the girl who he cheated that he saw in his dream that God had commanded him to marry her.
He has 10 days to appeal at the High Court.
