Malawi’s President, Lazarus Chakwera, has delegated his Homeland Security Minister, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, to represent him at the inauguration of newly elected Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa slated for Monday in the capital Harare.
Ng’oma, who also holds the position of Director of Strategy within Malawi’s ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP), appears to have developed a close relationship with Zanu PF. This rapport was evident when President Chakwera previously entrusted him with attending the Zanu PF national convention in 2021.
During that convention, Ng’oma is known to have made a successful prediction regarding Mnangagwa’s victory in the recently concluded election, earning him recognition from Zimbabwe’s local media as a political visionary.
Back in Malawi, Ng’oma has also made a forecast of a 70% win for President Chakwera in the 2025 general election. Whether this prediction will come to pass remains to be seen, as only time will reveal its accuracy.
