Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera to Visit Germany for Domasi Hospital Funding

Zomba-Domasi Chakwera mini-rally

Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has praised the international partnerships Malawi maintains, highlighting Japan’s role in expanding Domasi College of Education and completing Nalikule Community College. Addressing a crowd of people after the handover ceremony of the two facilities, Mtandama, the Malawi Congress Party Regional Chairperson for the East, commended President Chakwera for resuming the construction of Domasi Community Hospital. This project was initially abandoned by former President Peter Mutharika for political reasons, despite being started by former President Joyce Banda, a local of the area.

Mtandama emphasized the importance of Chakwera’s efforts, encouraging him to continue holding rallies and asserting that he is prepared to face any challenges, even from those with dubious intentions.

President Chakwera announced plans to visit Germany soon to secure additional funding for the hospital’s completion. He also urged citizens to register for the upcoming voter registration to support the ongoing development initiatives in 2025.
