Malawi Pres. Lazarus Chakwera hails Lingadzi CCAP Church

Malawi President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has praised the Lingadzi Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) for its steadfast dedication and commitment to praying for the nation’s progress.

Speaking during a Sunday worship service at Lingadzi CCAP Church in Area 12, Lilongwe, Chakwera commended the church for its support and underscored the importance of seeking divine guidance for the country’s development and fostering a spirit of brotherhood.

In his sermon, Resident Minister Davie Franklin Salimon stressed the necessity of unity among people, drawing on 1 Samuel 20:1-23 and John 13:34

“As brother’s keeper Jonathan was spokesperson for David. He expressed unity as they were not divided even in difficult times. Let’s show the same spirit of love, peace and unity to build a good Malawi. Our mouth should not scorn others.

“The covenant Jonathan made to David ensured that David was safe. Brother’s keeping brings unity when love is the foundation,” Salimon said.

He hailed President Chakwera for leading prayers on Independence Day, saying he always gives them hope as he keeps on remembering God during hardships the country is going through.

In his remarks, Session Clerk for Lingadzi CCAP Church, Professor Sam Phiri, acknowledged Chakwera for putting other activities aside to honour God through prayers.
