Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera is currently in Likoma District, where his itinerary includes participation in the National Community Health Day Commemoration and the relaunch of the Tipewe Cholera and HPV Vaccine Campaigns.
In addition, Dr. Chakwera is scheduled to tour the Likoma Island port, which is presently undergoing an extensive construction project valued at K8 billion.
The President will then proceed to inspect the ongoing construction of the outpatient department at the Likoma Health Centre, along with other initiatives, such as the Solar power plant managed by Egenco.
This event is conducted under the theme “Tigwilane Manja potukula ntchito za umoyo.”
Accompanying the President on this visit are various cabinet ministers, United Nations representatives, government officials, and members of the Malawi Congress Party.
