Malawi’s President, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, who also serves as the President of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), is this morning participating in the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) session at the MCP headquarters in Lilongwe.
Insiders reveal that the gathering serves as an opportunity to strategize on strengthening the party’s structures in preparation for its forthcoming convention scheduled for August this year.
The MCP’s NEC officials are entrusted with the task of overseeing the management of party affairs over a five-year tenure.
