After a successful inaugural dialogue between the President and the youth on the State of the Nation Address (SONA) which occurred in Lilongwe on 20th February last week, the President is scheduled to engage the youth of the southern region at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre on the similar dialogue.
In what came across as a historic move aimed at fostering inclusivity and engagement, President Lazarus Chakwera opened the engagement with the youth on crucial development issues affecting their lives. This engagement is poised to be a significant step in ensuring that younger generations are not only heard but actively involved in shaping the nation’s development agenda.
During the recent opening session of Parliament, President Chakwera delivered his State of the Nation Address (SONA), marking a pivotal moment in the country’s political discourse. Unlike previous addresses, his presentation broke ground with a detailed, district-by-district analysis of over 500 development projects initiated by the government, showcasing a commitment to transparency and accountability.
During the Blantyre session scheduled to take place of Friday, 27th February from 14:00 hrs, the Malawi leader will answer questions from the youth who will attent the event at Sanjika Palace as well as taking the questions from those who will be watching Live via the President’s Facebook page as well as X account.
