Inkosi ya Makhosi Mbelwa V and Chiefs Console President Chakwera on VP’s Passing

Mzimba Chiefs Condoling President Chakwera

Inkosi ya Makhosi Mbelwa V visited President Lazarus Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace yesterday to offer condolences on the passing of Vice President Saulos Chilima. Accompanied by his Senior Chiefs, the Ngoni King highlighted the deep bond between the people of Mzimba and the national leadership.

The steadfast support from Mzimba Chiefs for President Chakwera is a testament to the trust and confidence the people have in his leadership. Despite criticism from certain factions, the Chiefs’ encouragement serves as a powerful counterbalance to those attempting to sow division within our nation.

The King stated, “The people of Mzimba are mourning with you,” and urged the President to remain steadfast, reminding him, “You are not alone in this.”

The Chiefs’ appeal calls upon all Malawians, regardless of political affiliation, to transcend their differences and unite under the principles of unity, compassion, and faith in our leaders. This act of solidarity should inspire all Malawians to emulate the Mzimba Chiefs by setting aside partisan divides and rallying behind President Chakwera during this challenging time. By doing so, we can honor the memory of the deceased and emerge from this tragedy as a stronger, more resilient nation.
