Esther Mcheka Chilenje’s Quixotic Bid for Non-existent MCP 1st Vice President Post

Esther Mcheka Chilenje, the former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, known for her political acrobatics, has embarked on a daring quest within the ranks of the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP). Despite her recent conversion from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to MCP, she ambitiously sets her sights on a non-existent position: 1st Vice President of MCP.

“In the labyrinth of MCP’s hierarchy, there exists only the 1st Deputy President, not Vice President,” remarked Joseph Masina, a seasoned political analyst at Shire Times. “The distinction is monumental, rendering her aspirations akin to a shipwreck upon arrival.”

Furthermore, Mcheka Chilenje’s recent allegiance shift exposes her to a formidable barrier: an unwritten clause guarding against newcomers lacking the intrinsic “MCP DNA” from seizing influential positions within the National Executive Committee (NEC). This clause, aimed at preserving the sanctity of MCP’s genetic makeup, presents an insurmountable obstacle to her ambitions, opines Masina.
