Professor Betchani Tchereni, known for his insightful economic commentary in the local media, emerged victorious in the elections held at the ECAMA Annual Economic Conference in Mangochi, securing the position of President in the Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA).
Professor Tchereni takes the reins from Lauryn Nyasulu. The newly elected ECAMA executive team includes James Kenani as Secretary General, Bertha Bangara Chikadza as Secretary, Hamilton Kamwana as Treasurer General, Hope Mfune as Vice Treasurer General, and committee members Hellings Nasoni, Mervis Maliketi, Emmanuel Muleso, and Florence Kampani Pasiya.
