The banks commit to collaborative efforts in attracting private capital, broadening climate reporting, assisting countries in identifying priorities and investment opportunities, and facilitating access to multimedia content.
A notable initiative includes the construction of the Songwe River Basin, a versatile dam set to generate 80 megawatts of hydroelectric power for Tanzania and Malawi. Minister of Water, Abida Mia, appreciates these commitments, emphasizing their timely arrival as Malawi, despite minimal contributions to global warming, faces significant climate change risks.
