Man of the people Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba has been unveiled to the Malawi Congress Party North Regional Headquarters in Mzuzu on Tuesday.
Scores thronged the regional offices chanting songs praising the charismatic Mumba whom sources say wants to vie for the Deputy Presidency of the Malawi Congress Party in the forthcoming party Indaba.
“Mumba matches and or even surpasses the grit and gravitas of one Saulos Chilima,” said party officials privy to Mumba politics.
Another one added:
“He is humble, someone you text and will respond to you in few minutes not ‘amaliwongo enawa’ whom you text and it takes 14 days to be responded to.
For the Deputy Presidency of the MCP, Mumba is most likely to battle it out with Catherine Gotani Hara, Keneth Zikhale Ng’oma and Harry Mkandawire.
