The ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP) on Thursday conducted an election for Central Region Chairlady at MCP Headquarters in Lilongwe. The election came after the position fell vacant due to the death of Lucy Kalebe in March this year.
Four people vied for the chairlady position namely: Wendy Nalumo, Joyce Azizi, Liana Chapota Kakhobwe and Alice Mtondwa Mwale and when all was said and done, Wendy Nalumo was elected.
