It’s a youth conference underway in South Africa organized by International Republican Institution (IPI) for a Southern Africa Regional Political Conference where they have invited parties from the region. In Malawi, all the parties have sent youth representatives with Fredokiss representing UTM only for the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) sending an octogenarian in the name of Francis Mphepo to this youth conference when the party has lots of youth. Mphepo has been accompanied by another old aged Shadreck Namalomba and party director of legal affairs Charles Mhango.
The theme of the meeting is: what makes a political party successful in Southern Africa. DPP youths of the notorious cadet fame who are simply needed when it comes to painting themselves in party colors have warned that they will stage protests expressing their displeasure for this great embarrassment.
