MEMORY AT SUNSET
What an honour from our professorial mentors!
What a priceless memory as if to say for a certain that God has been pleased with my leadership.
Who would have imagined that this moment would come for the powerful two to finally be proud of my leadership?
This moment has a story. A stalemate story.
This moment is a product of leadership rigour not just any mere photo opportunity on the street.
When the relationship was dampened at Mandebvu Farm due to my stubbornness in representing your interests.
We were rewarded with a cat-and-mouse relationship.
We were rewarded with sabotage.
Remember the imbroglio open air debacle?
Enter post vigil, we had to reconfigure the strategy with the Chief.
To use soft power in the peace phase, to walk together with them to advance the interests of our beloved University.
And when the Chancellor came few days ago, not only did we brighten the faces of our two professorial mentors but even also our legal advisor Dr. Mweso was pleased with our conduct and performance.
Therefore for washing our hands as that proverbial African child, we earned a seat on the table.
We were recognized during the Vice Chancellor’s speeches at the three graduation ceremonies.
We earned this priceless moment.
Leadership exemplified and honoured.
Priceless memory at Sunset.
We shout with joy
‘Ebenezer’!
