Ned Phoya, Leader of the United Democratic Front (UDF) in Parliament, has strongly criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmakers for their disrespectful behavior towards the Speaker of Parliament.
Yesterday, DPP members were expelled from Parliament due to their repeated disregard for the Speaker’s instructions, causing significant disruptions both inside and outside the chamber.
In response, the Speaker invoked relevant parliamentary regulations and suspended the wayward DPP Parliamentarians for two days starting today. Despite this, the DPP-appointed Leader of the Opposition, Mary Navicha, gathered her 25 MPs outside Parliament and proceeded to deliver a response to the State of the Nation Address (Sona), which was broadcast live on Zodiak Television.
