The government-appointed attorneys have appealed the High Court Judge Mike Tembo’s decision to allow the Malawi society to seek judicial review and an interlocutory injunction to prevent the government from moving further with Martha Chizuma’s interdiction.
The state has assembled one of the most brilliant legal minds in the country including Jivason Kadziphatike to reverse the decision of the lower court maintaining Chizuma as Director of the ACB in the meantime pending Judicial review.
The state has put together some of the best legal brains in the nation, including Jivason Kadziphatike, to overturn the lower court’s ruling to keep Chizuma as Director of the ACB while waiting for judicial review.
In response to the USA Embassy’s statement, the government spokesperson, Moses Kunkuyu, issued a statement hours later that assured the Embassy that it will address its concerns through diplomatic channels based on mutual respect without compromising the republic’s sovereignty.
