Presidential advisor Chirambo urges unity among women in the MCP

MCP Women League

Women within the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) have received a call for unity and tolerance. Dorothy Chirambo, the Presidential Advisor on Women Affairs, delivered this message at the MCP Southern Region Headquarters in Blantyre. Chirambo urged women to embody a cultured demeanor, avoiding behaviors that could diminish the party’s reputation. She emphasized the need for people to distinguish MCP women from members of other parties and highlighted the influential role women play in their homes and communities, encouraging them to lead by example.

The meeting also included the provision of leadership tips to help women maintain decorum within the party. Notable figures present at the gathering included Peter Simbi, the MCP Regional Governor for the Southern Region, and Edward Gavanala, the Director of Economic Planning, among others.
