The Lilongwe City Council has initiated a 3 billion Malawian Kwacha project aimed at upgrading and rehabilitating specific roads in Area 49 New Shire.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, Alfred Jiya, the Parliamentarian for Lilongwe City Centre, warned against any substandard workmanship during the four-month project.
According to Francis Kavwenje, the Contracts Manager at Master Construction, the project will involve upgrading a four-kilometer stretch passing through New Shire to Bituminous standard.
The project will be executed through a collaboration between Master Construction and Projex Group.
