Today is 15th October, designated in Malawi as Mother’s day and characteristic of this day, tributes for Malawian mothers have flooded the social media with President Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice leading Malawians in wishing all mothers a happy mother’s day.
Wrote President Chakwera on his Facebook page:
“On the occasion of this year’s Mother’s Day, the First Lady and I appreciate all Malawian mothers for your endless devotion to the advancement of families, communities and the nation. You are a true embodiment of virtues of love, sacrifice and compassion.”
His Vice President Saulos Chilima also decorated Malawian mothers saying “we thee adore.”
Added Chilima:
“For the fortitude and strength that mothers are to each and every one of us, to the nation, to humanity; all we can do is to praise God and wish you Happy Mother’s day.”
The Editor and Management of Shire Times also wish all mothers on this day a happy Mother’s day.
