The Mayor of Lilongwe City Assembly, His Worship Richard Banda, proudly presented a Toyota Land Cruiser Ambulance adorned in vibrant MCP colors to the residents of Kaliyeka in the Chipasula/ Area 22, which falls within his ward in the city of Lilongwe yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by local chiefs, block leaders, and the people of Kaliyeka, Area 22, and Chipasula communities, along with members of the MCP party area committees. Their joy and gratitude for the support provided by Counselor Banda, who was elected to power in 2019 and subsequently as Mayor of Lilongwe City in 2022, were evident.
Addressing the gathering at Kaliyeka Primary School during the event, Mayor Banda encouraged the community to collaborate closely with the Chakwera government to foster further development in the area and beyond. He also urged the MCP area committees to work in unity to ensure that the mighty MCP party continues to thrive and excel, akin to an eagle soaring high.
