The Chakwera led administration has appointed and promoted 9,753 secondary school teachers, marking a record-breaking figure in Malawi’s history.
Among this cohort, 2,681 individuals were newly recruited, while 2,259 have been promoted to Grades TI and TJ.
Additionally, 3,997 teachers ascended to positions of head teachers or department heads under Grade TH, with 316 educators assuming roles as department heads under Grade TG, and 500 serving as Grade TG head teachers.
In the previous year, Chakwera’s administration also onboarded and promoted 2,699 secondary school instructors.
