Plans are in the pipeline to establish a university under the Providence Industrial Mission (PIM) in Chiradzulu.
President of the mission, Reverend Wilson Mitambo, disclosed this during the commemoration of the life of Reverend John Chilembwe underway at PIM in Chiradzulu.
Reverend Mitambo took the opportunity to call on Malawians to remain united, loving and peaceful for the country to forge ahead in development.
He expressed commitment towards working with the government in areas such as education, health and agriculture.
If these plans are actualised, Chiradzulo district will be home to two Universities, Catholic University of Malawi and the yet to be established university.
