Hendrix Laher, Managing Director of Luthando, has been named the most hardworking CEO in Malawi’s transport sector at the National Product Magazine (NPC) Mid-Year Awards held at BICC in Lilongwe.
Laher, a proud Malawian entrepreneur, is the driving force behind Luthando, the company that brings Yamaha motorcycles into the country. Today, when Malawians think of buying a motorcycle, Yamaha is the first name that comes to mind—thanks to Luthando’s strong presence and reliable service.
Although he couldn’t attend the event in person, his work spoke loud and clear. A delegation led by Ramzan Khan, the company’s Director of Operations, accepted the award on his behalf.
In a night where government ministers spoke about boosting agriculture and improving financing, Hendrix Laher stood out as a shining example of what smart, hardworking leadership can achieve—creating jobs, improving transport, and moving Malawi forward.
Laher’s recognition proves that with focus, consistency, and vision, Malawian businesses can grow and lead the way.
