Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, has told people in Ntcheu that victory in the September 16 elections will only be guaranteed if they actually cast their votes.
Speaking at a rally in Lizulu, Chakwera said it is time Malawians made their lives easier by re-electing him as Head of State. He urged unity of purpose, stressing that his leadership is about serving Malawians by upholding freedom and peace, not violence and division.
Chakwera also promised that farmers in Ntcheu will benefit more once the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) is transformed into a bank—enabling them to access loans without collateral.
During the same rally, MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda hailed Chakwera for increasing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) from 29 million to 220 million kwacha, saying this move has greatly accelerated development across the country.
