In a recent Facebook post that has sparked widespread discussion, a renowned political analyst and commentator, Lyson Sibande, has expressed concern for the mental well-being of Norman Chisale, a prominent figure in the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Sibande described Chisale as exhibiting signs of bitterness and anger, suggesting he may be experiencing psychological issues that warrant immediate professional evaluation.
Coming hot on the heels of Chisale’s bizzare and volatile remarks that made a sizeable trend on social media, Sibande urged the DPP leadership to prevent Chisale from making public statements until he has sought psychological help, characterizing his current behavior as potentially dangerous to himself and society.
“His behavior is strange,” he remarked, implying that Chisale’s actions may reflect a deeper mental health concern rather than mere political discontent.
Sibande noted the importance of Chisale’s legal challenges, particularly the ongoing stolen Malawi School Leaving (MSCE) certificate case, he emphasized that the real issue lies in Chisale’s mental state. He called for a serious examination by qualified mental health professionals, stating that the frequent legal troubles and the abrupt loss of his former status and wealth have likely contributed to a deteriorating psychological condition.
